Originating from Myanmar, these statues represent the rich cultural and religious history of the region, where Buddhism plays a central role in daily life and artistic expression.

The statues embody a deep sense of reverence, portrayed through the Namaskara mudra. This gesture, characterized by hands pressed together in a prayer-like form, symbolizes respect and devotion, reflecting the spiritual commitment of monks in their pursuit of enlightenment.

Burmese art is renowned for its intricate detailing and expressive features, often characterized by serene expressions and flowing robes. These statues exemplify this tradition, capturing the essence of humility and tranquility that defines the monastic life. The timeless nature of bronze as a material allows the statues to convey a sense of permanence and strength, further enhancing their significance within the cultural landscape of Myanmar.

The statues not only serve as art pieces but also as spiritual symbols, connecting viewers to the profound teachings of Buddhism. With a weight of 14.85 kg, these artifacts are substantial both in physicality and in their cultural offerings, enriching any collection with history and reverence.
