This antique Thai bronze Buddha statue, originating from Thailand, stands at a height of 19.5 cm and is intricately gilded with 24-karat gold, exemplifying the artistry of the 19th century during the Rattanakosin period. Renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship, this statue reflects the deep cultural and spiritual heritage of Thailand, where Buddhism plays a fundamental role in society.

The figure is depicted in a seated position, embodying serenity and contemplation. The attention to detail is evident in the elaborate design, featuring delicate patterns and motifs that are characteristic of Thai artistry. The style showcases a blend of traditional Buddhist influences and local artistic expressions, which flourished during the Rattanakosin period, marking a significant revival of Thai culture.

The Dhyana mudra, expressed through the positioning of the hands, symbolizes meditation and deep contemplative practice. This gesture emphasizes the importance of inner peace and mindfulness in Buddhist teachings.

This statue not only serves as a revered religious icon but also as a reminder of the profound wisdom and tranquility found within Buddhist philosophy.
