Dates from the end of the Utong style and is contemporary with the Ayuthaya style.
The distinctive pinched base with the overhanging knees. band between the forehead and hair, relatively short hands and feet, pierced ears, and tall flat-backed flame atop his head are all typical of this type.

This is perhaps the finest late Utong Buddha I have ever offered - especially in such exceptional condition and in such a good size.

This antique Utong-C Thai Buddha statue stands at 37 cm and represents an exquisite example of late Utong style, dating back to the 16th or 17th century. Characterized by its distinctive features, the statue showcases a pinched base with overhanging knees, short hands and feet, and pierced ears. The tall, flat-backed flame atop the head adds to its unique aesthetic, reflecting the artistic traditions of the period.
